Whereas just a few years ago it may have seemed unthinkable that anyone could actually order perishable products online and have them shipped from a thousand miles away overnight, today this is where we are as a society. Sending flowers for Mothers Day has become second nature to most people.

A few years ago, my mama retired from the phone company and went on a trip with YMT Vacations. It was doing that time when the government broke up the monopoly of AT&T and allowed local companies to bid for contracts. She had been a secretary for the phone company for more than thirty years and now she saw the enormous turmoil going on as an opportunity for her to get out altogether. Going away with her friends on a trip with YMT Vacations seemed like a good thing to do. Things were just not the same on the job anymore.

Mama had a few friends who worked with her at the phone company. Her friend Cathy turned her on to YMT Vacations. There they went first to Las Vegas and then on a Caribbean Cruise. It was seven of them. YMT Vacations took care of them so good that she has used this company every year since that moment. As skeptical as she always was, they took care of her so well she became an immediate fan.

This combination of education would seem to serve anyone in the field of real estate quite well. Therefore is should be no stretch of the imagination to understand that when seeking advice on property management in this particular market, Tim Arel’s Blog easily shows up. There is much to learn when Tim Arel speaks.

On November 1, 2006 Linus Gitahi succeeded Mr.Wilfred Kiboro as the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of the Nation Media Group. From its beginnings as a single newspaper in Kenya to its growth into magazine publishing, broadcasting and the internet, this independent media group has grown to become a unique leader in an industry that has been faltering in recent years.

Nation Media Group is an odd success story of a newspaper that took heed to the growth of the internet. After the addition of Linus Gitahi the company began to see itself commanding a even greater slice of its market.

From Kenya to holdings in Uganda and Tanzania as well, Nation Media Group is sure to grow with the marketing skills of Linus Gitahi at the helm. This is a company that we should expect to see a lot of growth from in the future.

Of course, it didn’t seem to be that difficult for stores to start carrying debit /credit card machines. But, what about those businesses for whom plugging into the electric grid is not always that easy; like taxi cabs for instance. Amos Tamam helped to pioneer the technology that ultimately made it possible for taxi drivers to be able to work without having to carry cash.

At first he worked in a garage, servicing a fleet of taxi cabs. Today, he is the CEO of Verifone Transportation Services which has wireless debit / credit card machines in taxi cabs all over the cities of New York and Philadelphia.
